ABOUT
Chateau Belle Vue is a small, community-oriented condominium in the Spruce Cliff area of Southwest Calgary, Alberta Canada.
On the 300-foot East-facing bluffs overlooking the Bow River valley, many units focus on views of the Calgary skyline, down the river valley.
Beautifully kept common spaces include gardens, lawns, third-floor decks with sunset views, and patio, with garden gates that provide access leading to the spectacular Douglas Fir and Quarry Road Trail and bike paths to downtown and riverside trail systems.
These two buildings, with a total of only twenty-six units, were originally built of high-quality concrete in the 1960s and have been very well maintained from mechanical systems to roofing and windows. With a wide range of ages, many residents have lived here for decades.
It is common to see spontaneous gatherings or celebratory garden parties. Sunset wine and cheese conversations frequently occur on the patio or West-facing decks. The standing assumption: anybody's welcome to join. Bring a bottle, or bring a plate of snacks, or just show up and enjoy the discussion.
This is a diverse community characterized by mutual care and support.
